 State and national policy makers will gather at the Building Bridges conference to discuss new developments in long-term services and support initiatives for older adults and people with disabilities.

The Harris County Area Agency on Aging and the Aging and Disability Resource Center will sponsor the conference May 7-8 at the Crowne Plaza Houston, 8686 Kirby Drive.

Dr. Thomas Freeman of Texas Southern University will be the keynote speaker. Freeman, a distinguished professor of forensics, coaches TSU’s debate team and directs the Honors College.

Social workers and affiliated human services professionals will receive six CEUs. Community health workers and psychologists will receive six contact hours.
