HOUSTON, TX – March 2025 – The Houston Health Department (HHD) has confirmed the city’s third measles case of 2025.  The case involves an unvaccinated infant who was exposed to measles during international travel. The infant was hospitalized and has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

HOUSTON, TX – January 2025 – The Houston Health Department (HHD) has identified two confirmed cases of measles in adults associated with recent international travel. Both individuals reside in the same household and were not vaccinated. These are the first reported measles cases in Houston since 2018.

The Houston Health Foundation (HHF), the Houston Health Department's Bureau of Youth & Adolescent Health (BYAH), and the My Brother's Keeper (MBK) Program awarded 50 scholarships totaling $400,000 to MBK-affiliated students.
