Volunteer drivers are needed to help deliver hot nutritious meals to home-bound elderly citizens served by a network of Meals on Wheels providers sponsored by the Houston/Harris County Area Agency on Aging.

Volunteers pick up meals at various community centers and then deliver them to the elderly. Meals on Wheels has volunteer positions in all areas of Harris County.

Volunteers must have their own transportation and be willing to volunteer at least one hour a week between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The Houston/Harris County Area Agency on Aging provides 6,500 meals a day to area elderly through a network of community organizations. For more information about volunteering opportunities, call 713-794-9001.
