Family Planning and Reproductive Health
The Houston Health Department’s Title X Family Planning and Reproductive Health Program ensures that quality family planning and related preventive health services are available to all individuals of reproductive age, to prevent unplanned pregnancies for women between the ages of 14–51, through core family planning clinical services, education, and outreach.

Services are available at our Northside Health Center and Sunnyside Health and Multi-Service Center.

Female Health
- Patient education counseling
- Breast and pelvic examinations
- Breast and cervical cancer screening
- STI and HIV prevention education and counseling, testing, and referral
- Pregnancy diagnosis and counseling
- Contraceptives
Male Health
- Patient education counseling
- STI and HIV prevention education and counseling, testing, and referral
- Condoms
Eligibility Requirements
- Reproductive age (14 to 51 years)
- No residency requirements
- No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay; there is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available.
- Consent is limited to minors (17 years of age and younger) seeking contraceptive drugs, contraceptive devices or ECs. For added convenience, the CONSENT FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT OF MINOR RECEIVING CONTRACEPTION is available in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese for signature. Original signature is required, along with parent/guardian identification for presentation at visit.
