TB Testing at the City of Houston Health Department

My job requires me to get a TB test. Does the Houston Health Department provide administrative TB testing?

I need TB testing as a requirement for my immigration status adjustment. Can I be tested by the Houston Health Department?

Is there any cost to me if I the Houston Health Department says I need a TB test?

If you are identified as contact to an active and contagious pulmonary case of TB, the TB test (either a skin test or a blood test) will be provided at no cost. If you are not a contact to an active and contagious pulmonary case of TB, the Houston Health Department recommends you seek the counsel/assistance of a private doctor regarding TB testing first.
